In a perfect world, you could access all the legal research websites - from the free to the cheap to the powerful – and exhaust every possibility for case law research.
But case law research doesn’t exist in a perfect world.
In the real world, you have to choose between powerful research solutions and mediocre legal sites. Between enhanced searches and unenhanced digging.
Do you save a couple bucks and go with a cheap legal resource?
Or do you invest in yourself ... in your law firm ... and choose a powerful resource for your important legal research jobs?
When choosing, remember: Not all legal research websites are the same. If you want to save a couple bucks, you’ll be pointed to a variety of free legal sites or discounted/low-cost alternatives.
Of course, these low-cost alternatives will tell you that they’ve got it all ... all the case law research you’ll ever need ... while reminding you that “cheaper” doesn’t mean “cheap.” But if you dig deep into these cheaper legal sites, you’ll learn that the cost savings can actually impact your case law research, which then impacts your legal competency. When it comes to legal research, cost savings usually equals case-law light.
The truth is, when it comes to low-cost legal sites and your important legal research jobs, if you aren’t paying much, you aren’t getting much.
