Life can be hard sometimes and some of us may be in need of a confidence boost. So for those who are look for that boost, here are 5 things you can do according to Inc..
1. Stay away from negativity and bring on the positivity
Take a break from that Debbie Downer in your life. Stop focusing on the problems in your life. Instead, start to focus on solutions and making positive changes.
2. Change your body language and image
Maintain a good posture and a smile. Look at the person you are speaking to, not at the ground; keeping eye contact shows confidence.
3. Don't accept failure and get rid of the negative voices in your head
Don’t give up, don’t ever give up and never accept failure. Low self-confidence is usually attributed to negative thoughts that run through our minds constantly. If you are constantly bashing yourself and saying :
,you are setting yourself up for failure. You become what you preach inside your head. Next time those thoughts start running, turn them into positive affirmation.
4. Be prepared
Learn everything there is to know about your field, job – whatever you want to be a master at. If you are prepared for any questions you may get, and have the knowledge to back it up, your self-confidence will rise.
5. For tough times, when all else fails: Create a great list
Make a list of all the things in your life that you are thankful for, and another list of all the things you are proud of accomplishing. When finished, post it somewhere where you can be constantly reminded of them.
