The newest edition of the Chief Legal Officer (CLO) survey, which is conducted annually by the Association of Corporate Counsel, provides insights into what’s on the minds of the top legal executives in corporations.

The data suggests top priorities include:

  • Containing to manage costs all while accomplishing more amid growing complexity.
  • Compliance and regulatory concerns are convincingly examined in the survey. Some 30% of CLOs are making the case for new positions focused in this area.
  • Diversity is taking center stage as the survey discovered compensation gaps along the lines of gender and underrepresented groups.

A new post on the Business of Law Blog takes a look at the survey data, alongside analysis and commentary published in four staple trade publications covering corporate counsel: Budgets, Compliance, Security Top CLO Priorities, ACC Survey Says.
