1. Get moving
Exercise is a great way to relieve stress and feel good. Try to incorporate your favorite workouts into your daily routines.
2. Load up on Vitamin C
Research has shown that foods which have a lot of Vitamin C help lower peoples’ levels of cortisol, which is a hormone linked to stress.
3. Organize Your Workplace
Having a mess usually is a source of stress. Clean up your workplace and maybe add a plant in it too. A little greenery in your work environment has proven to reduce stress among other things.
4. Play with your Pet
Play with an animal! Research has shown that playing with or petting an animal helps lower blood pressure, lessen anxiety and boost your immunity.
5. Listen to Classical Music
Studies have found that playing classical music helps reduce your levels of cortisol. If you don’t like classical music then try listening to the sound of falling rain or ocean waves.
6. Have a Good Laugh
Have a good laugh. Laughing increases the endorphins that are released by your brain among other things. Web MD has reported that just thinking about having a good laugh is enough to lower your stress hormone levels.
7. Take a Deep Breath
Close your eyes and concentrate on taking a few slow, deep breaths. Doing this will lower your blood pressure which will help calm yourself down.
Another way to be de-stressed is doing breathing exercises that calm your mind and lower heart-rate. Power-Yoga can also help reduce stress levels.
