My first cell phone (circa 1996) actually looked identical to the original phone created back in 1973. Ha! I was a college freshman in a big city and I needed something to keep me connected in the event of the worst case scenario. I guess there is a lot to be said about what money can buy.

Amanda, I started with the 1998 version - and had a very hard time justifying the expense of getting a cell phone.  Being a single mom with 2 in elementary school, money was tight.  Our office manager asked me how I would feel if the kids needed me and I wasn't at home or at work.  Needless to say, I never looked back or regretted that expense! HA!!

Back in the day, I remember, owning a mobile was one thing and using it was another! The service was as expensive as the phone's cost of today! And with its development, it has only made our life easier.
