How are America's largest law firms using social technologies? How effective are their methods?
I want to share the results of The Social Law Firm white paper. This white paper outlines the results and general findings from a study which was undertaken jointly by Above the Law and Good2bSocial.The purpose of this joint study was to assess how U.S. law firms are currently using Social Business technologies and practices as part of their business operations. The research was focused on the 50 largest firms in the U.S. as identified by The American Lawyer. The results of this study are being published in two stages. This white paper summarizes findings and analysis. The findings are based on an audit of each Am Law 50 firm’s social media presence, the anonymous questionnaire circulated to select firms, and the information collected through an online survey. The second component of will be published in January 2014 and will include the inaugural Social Law Firm Index. This ranking is based on a methodology developed to assess the effectiveness of each firm’s use of social media based on their website and their presence across all public social media platforms. The methodology for the rankings will be explained in more detail when the index is published in January 2014.
